Our Ambassadors
The Bemidji Area Chamber Ambassadors are the friendly faces who welcome and celebrate our local business community. Whether it’s a new opening, a relocation, or a big expansion, our Ambassadors are there to help mark the moment and share your success with the community.
How It Works
Our Ambassadors keep an eye out for new or growing businesses and reach out to schedule a visit — but you can also contact the Chamber anytime to request one!
During a visit, you’ll be greeted by our Ambassadors in their signature plaid vests, along with Chamber staff and members of our Board of Directors. Together, we’ll celebrate your milestone, present a plaque, and if it’s a new opening, we’ll bring out the giant scissors for a ribbon cutting!
We’ll also capture the moment with photos or video to share on the Chamber’s social media and send to the Bemidji Pioneer for publication.

Congratulations — you have a reason to celebrate! Whether you’re opening your doors for the first time or expanding into something new, the Chamber Ambassadors are honored to help you share the excitement.
Scheduling Your Celebration
• Advance Notice: Please schedule at least two weeks ahead to ensure the best turnout.
• Event Timing: Typically held Monday–Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• Who Attends: The Chamber President, Ambassadors, and Board of Directors.
• What’s Provided: We’ll bring the plaque, ceremonial scissors, and signature plaid ribbon — and we’ll handle photos, too!
