Awards of Excellence 2010

Business plays a vital role in the economy of the United States. The Greater Bemidji area has a vast number of businesses that have contributed to the economy and growth in Northern Minnesota in a variety of ways. The Bemidji Area Chamber of Commerce is recognizing area businesses and individuals on the basis of Community, Business Management and People Impact.

The Charlie Naylor Life Time Achievement Award-

This award is new in 2009, and awarded to the family of Charlie Naylor- long time business owner and entrepreneur of the Bemidji area.

This recognition program for community giving is part of the annual Awards of Excellence recognition program.

This is an excellent way for businesses to receive recognition from their peers and their community for the many contributions they make to their local community. Businesses are recognized for giving cash and/or in-kind contributions to charitable organizations amounting to 2 percent or more of their pretax earnings.

The program is based on the Minnesota Keystone ProgramSM Standard, criteria established in 1976 by the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerc.
