Bemidji Area Schools District 31

Bemidji is home to Independent School District 31 which encompasses several award winning elementary schools, early childhood family education, Bemidji Middle School, and Bemidji High School as well as several alternative learning centers including Lumberjack High School, First City School, Alternative Education center, and adult basic education. Bemidji Middle School offers learning in a pod style setting which proves as a good stepping stone from elementary to high school. Bemidji High School is a new state of the art high school that is the home of the Lumberjacks. They offer many choices in the areas of of performing and visual arts, business education, industrial technology, consumer and military sciences and world language as well as an array of Advanced Placement and health related courses. BHS has a strong history of success in academics, athletics, and fine arts.

St. Mark's Lutheran School

St. Mark’s Lutheran Church started a Lutheran elementary school in September of 1984. The elementary school is currently a one room school with classes for students in grades 1st-8th. The teacher is Mr. Nathan Bitter and assisted by Pastor Lon Kuether and volunteers from the congregation. The school’s primary purpose is to aid in the Christian education of the members of St. Mark’s Lutheran.

Oak Hills Christian College

Oak Hills Christian College began as Oak Hills Christian Training School in 1946.
